ARDY

Streaming character animation from text prompts and kinematic constraints.

ARDY (NVIDIA, SIGGRAPH 2026) generates character animation from text prompts and kinematic constraints, autoregressively and as a stream — so motion starts before the whole clip is decided.

Experimental. HyMotion is the steadier choice today.

Setup

Manage Modules → Add Modules → ARDY → Install. Only an admin can add it. It runs locally and installs on first use.

The prompt is read by a Llama-3-8B text encoder. The recommended Prebuilt 8-bit needs about 8.8 GB of VRAM; Prebuilt 4-bit needs about 5.8 GB and leaves room for other services.

In the Animations playground, ARDY can also follow a path you draw on the floor, strike a pose at a given time, and keep moving continuously while you change the prompt.

Scripts drive it the same way as any animation service, through chat.generateAnimation() and chat.perform().
