Main menu

The left-rail navigation and the quick-access menu on the right.

Voxta's UI has two navigation surfaces:

  • Main menu — the left rail. Central hub for every screen: services, characters, Studio, chat history, settings, diagnostics.
  • Quick-access menu — the right rail. Per-service shortcuts: swap your active TTS / STT / LLM, change audio devices, jump to settings without leaving the chat.

Every Voxta screen is reachable from the main menu. Most of what you'll do day-to-day lives here:

  • Chat — go talk to a character.
  • Characters — browse and edit personas.
  • Studio — author scenarios, events, actions, the full creator surface.
  • Manage Services — what's installed, what's enabled, configure each module.
  • Profile — your identity and conversation preferences.
  • Diagnostics / Terminal / Benchmarks — debugging and observability.

Quick-access menu

The quick-access menu is for things you want to change without breaking flow — mostly during a chat. From here:

  • Switch between configured TTS / STT / LLM services on the fly.
  • Pick audio input and output devices.
  • Quick toggles for muting STT, muting TTS, hiding the avatar, etc.

If you have multiple services of the same type configured (e.g. OpenAI for chat plus Claude for action inference), this is where you switch between them mid-conversation.
