Chat history
Past conversations, archived per character, plus the summarization view.
Chat history is your archive of past conversations. Find a previous chat, review what was said, resume it, or just see what summaries the AI built from it.
What you can do
- Browse all past chats, grouped by character.
- Search for a specific chat by content.
- Resume any chat — pick up exactly where you left off.
- Delete chats you don't want kept.
- Export a chat for archive.
Summarization view
For long chats, Voxta uses an LLM to summarize older parts of the conversation so the AI doesn't blow its context window. The summarization view shows you those summaries and which original messages got rolled into each one.
This is useful when:
- A character mentions something that "happened before" and you want to find the original message.
- You're debugging "why does the AI think X happened?" — summarization may have compressed something incorrectly.
- You want to understand what context the AI is actually seeing for the next reply.
