Voxta What is Virt-A-Mate
A short orientation to VAM for newcomers arriving via Voxta.
Virt-A-Mate (often just VAM) is an adult 3D sandbox where you can create, modify, and interact with simulated characters in real time, on desktop or in VR. It has strong physics, expressive character rigs, an active modding scene, and a steep learning curve.
Voxta integrates with VAM via a plugin you drop on a Person atom — that character then becomes a live AI driven by your Voxta server.
VAM is a deep tool and not the most beginner-friendly. If you've never used it before, spend an hour or two with VAM on its own — moving atoms, loading scenes, opening the plugin menu — before trying to add Voxta. The Voxta plugin assumes basic familiarity with VAM's UI.
